Our Story
Golden Hands CBO was established in 2025 by a passionate group of Kenyan mental health advocates, counsellors, and community workers who recognised a growing and largely invisible crisis — the silent suffering of thousands of Kenyans without access to mental health support.
Born out of lived experience and a deep commitment to community, Golden Hands CBO set out with a simple but powerful belief: no one should face mental illness alone. From our first support circle in Nairobi, we have been building safe spaces, training facilitators, and reaching underserved populations — one conversation at a time.
In just our first year, we have already touched over 1,200 lives across 6 counties, launched 8 programs, and grown a dedicated team of 45+ volunteers united by one golden mission — healing communities through compassion, dignity, and action.
